Andrew F. Corrado

Long Island Market President,
Capital One Bank

Andrew Corrado serves as Senior Vice President, Head of Professional Services and Private Banking, and the Long Island Market President for Capital One Bank. In his role as Market President, Corrado represents a team of more 1,900 associates in overseeing the Bank's investments in individuals, small businesses and communities throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The Bank supports and facilitates a spectrum of programs that focus on affordable housing, small business and workforce development, financial literacy and education.

In 2012 Capital One Bank's Long Island associates volunteered nearly 13,000 hours. One marquee initiative involved Capital One's national non-profit partner, The Heart of America Foundation (HOA) and a local partner school, Drexel Avenue Elementary in Westbury. During Capital One's 2012 One Week of community service, associates and HOA worked with Drexel Avenue to transform an old classroom into a colorful reading nook and build a reading gazebo. Additionally, the team donated more than 800 books to the school and each of the 550 students received five books each for their personal home libraries.

In addition to leading Capital One Bank's local community investments, Corrado has served on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island for nearly two decades and still serves on the scholarship committee. He is the chairman of the board of the Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education. Additionally, he serves as VP for programs for the Alumni Association of Hofstra University, where he is a distinguished past president of the Zarb School of Business Alumni Association.

Under his leadership, Capital One Bank was named 2012 Corporate Citizen of the Year by the Long Island Association of Fundraising Professionals. In 2008, Corrado received the Thurman Munson Corporate Hero Award from the Association for the Help of Retarded Children. He earned the 2009 Leadership of the Year Award from Harbor Child Care and was named 2010 Man of the Year by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island. Also, in 2011, Hofstra University honored him with an Alumni Achievement Award for avid involvement.

"Andrew's commitment is profoundly evident," wrote his Education Partner Award nominator. "His efforts helped motivate our students to read and he has made our dream a reality."
