Kamari has worked very hard to learn how to appropriately display his emotions and communicate his wants and needs. He has learned different strategies and coping skills to express his feelings. Kamari’s current positive attitude and drive to be successful throughout the school day is amazing to see. Kamari transitions willingly with minimal assistance when it is time to go to out-of-classroom activities. He is also able to relinquish preferred activities when asked and follows simple directions without protest. He is always excited to complete group activities and wants to make his teachers very proud. The smile on his face when he accomplishes something is priceless. He has learned how to express why he is upset and is able to use strategies to cope successfully and appropriately. Kamari is sweet and caring; he has compassion for the students who need extra help and is always willing to give a helping hand to any student in need. He loves to be the teacher’s helper and wants to make his teachers proud.

At the end of every day, he is always very excited to go home and show his mother his notebook because he knows she will be proud of him. This year Kamari has learned what kindness means and how to be kind to others. He works very hard every day to be kind to others in his class and, once a week, he does something nice for someone in school. It’s great seeing how confident and happy he is when he is making someone else happy. Overall, he has made a great deal of progress socially and academically.
