Diego Santana

Adult Learning Center
Roosevelt

Diego’s journey is unique -- he and his family are very close but were forced to move frequently to continuously search for greater employment opportunities. Due to the constant relocation, Diego was unable to complete his traditional high school education However, that did not stop him from seeking an alternative route to achieve his high school diploma. He began classes at the Adult Learning Center and was immediately a stand-out student in the classroom. He often assisted other classmates with difficult material.

Diego also spent time helping a fellow, non-native English-speaking student with her vocabulary, sentence structure and editing papers. Diego’s professional goal is to become an English teacher. He is planning to apply to college for the fall. His pathway choice to high school graduation, along with his commitment to become a professional educator, will be a bridge to connect with students in the future. The staff and faculty are proud of his success and wish him the best on all his future endeavors.
