Jared Bey

Jerusalem Avenue Elementary School
Freeport UFSD

Jared takes pride in his achievements and perseveres through challenging tasks. He knows his limits and appropriately takes a step back from his work to clear his head before continuing with a challenging assignment. Jared goes out of his way to practice his math skills. Math homework is occasionally assigned on a website called “Prodigy Math.” He goes above and beyond on this website, answering 100 questions when his assignment was 15 questions. He uses Prodigy to practice his math skills on nights and weekends and is always proud of the new skills he has mastered. He is also eager to help his friends learn these new skills. Jared demonstrates outstanding performance in ELA and engages with the narratives and informational texts we read.

He volunteers to answer a question, relates the stories to personal experiences to make them more meaningful, and excels in vocabulary. He is especially interested in science and often has many questions that are not covered in the unit. He makes a list of questions and uses free time to research the answers on the computer and then enjoys sharing his findings with the rest of the class. Overall, he is very focused on his studies. Aside from his academic goals, Jared has a personal goal of returning to his district school. He demonstrates polite, appropriate and responsible behavior in school, and encourages his peers to act the same. Jared is an honest, caring and generous student. He works very hard to achieve success in all areas and expresses great pride in his accomplishments.
