Dylan Maag

Carman Road School
West Hempstead UFSD

Dylan is committed to academic, social and therapeutic success. He has worked very hard to get to the place he is now, where he pushes himself to complete challenging tasks, is excited to learn and takes pride in mastering new skills. He always comes to class cheerful and eager to learn.

Through therapy, Dylan has improved his fine motor skills and minimized the need to use a walker for ambulation. “Dylan exemplifies perseverance,” his physical therapist says. “He is by far one of the hardest working students I have ever had the pleasure to work with.”

Dylan is equally dedicated to speech therapy, arriving to every session with enthusiasm, and ready to work. As a result, he has achieved a number of gains in his speech and language skills. In addition to reaching his therapeutic goals, Dylan’s hard work has led to his breaking some rigid thinking, allowing him to be more expansive and to grow as both a student and a person.
